A Hope Box is a grief support resource tool to help a family process and grieve the loss of their baby, for immediate need, and years after a loss. A Hope Box is a practical, tangible way to bring hope and care during a most challenging time. A Hope Box includes several items to bring encouragement and support, such as medical pamphlets and brochures, and crisis support information. It includes a personal note from someone who has experienced a loss, as well as a card signed by all who created the box. It also contains a candle, a Bible that includes 50 highlighted verses of encouragement, a book that talks about the grief process and encouragement, local resources and supports. A list of encouraging websites, resources, funeral homes, ways to honour your baby, why to talk about your grief, a journal to record feelings and thoughts, lotion/soap, baby feet pin, list of songs and encouraging resources, a small crochet blanket, stained glass heart and information for dad and siblings. The box is faith based, however all can receive encouragement from the items included in the box, as there are many items in the box available for comfort, and even some non-Christian resources where they can find help. Hope boxes have a great variety of resources to bring immediate support and encouragement for the days and months to come.
